If the Recipient Is Not Home

If the recipient is unavailable at the time of delivery, our drivers will usually attempt to leave the flowers with a trusted neighbour or in a secure safe place where appropriate instructions or suitable access are available. A calling card will always be left to advise the recipient where the flowers have been safely delivered and photographic evidence will be used to prove delivery.

Safe places may include protected porches, garages or other secure locations where authorised. For security and quality reasons, flowers will never be left unattended on an open doorstep unless specific permission has been provided when placing the order.

In some circumstances, if delivery cannot safely be completed, the flowers may be returned to our shop and alternative delivery arrangements discussed with the sender or recipient. Additional delivery charges may apply for re-delivery where necessary.

When Delivery Is Considered Completed

A flower delivery will be considered successfully completed when the order has been delivered directly to the recipient, accepted by a neighbour on the recipient’s behalf, or left in a safe and secure location at the delivery address where appropriate delivery instructions or suitable circumstances permit.

Where flowers are left with a neighbour or in a designated safe place, Bromborough Flowers may take photographic evidence of the delivery location for proof of delivery purposes. A delivery card may also be left at the property where possible to notify the recipient.

By placing an order, the sender agrees that Bromborough Flowers may use reasonable judgement to complete the delivery safely and securely where the recipient is unavailable.

Once delivery has been completed in accordance with the above conditions, responsibility for the flowers passes to the recipient and the order will be considered fulfilled.
